When I blogged recently about a few fab finds, including a Nina Bawden title, Simon at Stuck-in-a-Book mentioned that he also had some of her books on his tbr. I have several too but this is the only volume we have in common and so Simon came up with the idea of a readalong!
I believe Simon has already started, and I have the book ready to begin as soon as I’ve finished my current read (“Ashenden” by Somerset Maugham which I’m really enjoying – review will follow at some point). If any readers would like to join in with the Bawden readalong I hope they will get on board – Simon will be posting more on his blog so keep checking this out. We will possibly have a set day/week to put up your reviews, but in the meantime please grab your Bawdens and join us in this readalong!

I wish I had known about this Karen. I don’t have a copy of that novel, but I do have a couple of other Nina Bawden novels TBR. However she wouldn’t fit into my May authors reading. I will look forward to hearing ehat you and Simon think however as I have enjoyed the couple of Nina Bawden’s I read recently.

This will be my first Bawden and I’m looking forward to it. I actually picked up another one today in my favourite charity shop (plus a couple of others….) which I will post about soon!

Thanks for posting, Karen! I’m vaguely putting ‘the end of May’ as a suggested reading/posting time…

I am excited to be joining in with this Readalong of Bawden. I have 11 of her novels but this will be my first read of her. It’s always nice to be encouraged into a new-to-you author.

I’ve only read Nina Bawden’s books for children but I have this one and I will pull it off the shelf to read.

Yay! Glad you can join us. I only thought of Bawden as a children’s author till recently and so I’m interested to see how her adult work is.
